Nodding more to himself than to Matthew, Gilbert stood from his seat, walking beside his partner as they approached the large wooden desk at the head of the room, Gilbert's mind racing with dozens upon dozens of possible ideas of what the details of their mission; were they going to sent to some far away place to retrieve some priceless artifact? Or maybe they would be sent to destroy a horrifying monster that was harassing an innocent village somewhere? With something like this the possibilities were truly endless. Gilbert listened closely to the words of their instructor before he took the folder into his hands, their teacher's extra warnings and cautions over their mission making the albino all the more curious and eager to see what it was.
Once they had made it back to their seats, Gilbert didn't waste a single second, the young man practically ripping the envelope open as to get to the documents inside. His deep red irises ran along the printed words on the front few papers line after line, not bothering to ask his partner if he had managed to read the whole thing as well before flipping to the next page, his eyes growing the more he read.
It seemed his hunches about their being a monster had been correct, but it wasn't just a single creature he and Matthew were being send to take care of, or even, it was a wholehorde of them. From what the papers said a pack of gremlins had managed to infuriate themselves into a nearby city and were causing havoc all over. Gremlins in the past were known for their trickery and over time had adapted and evolved to spread their chaos throughout the ages. Nowadays they were nasty little things that were any to infuse with and manipulate electronic items and according to these papers there were twenty (so far) known to be roaming about the city and now it was up to Gilbert and Matthew to capture or take out all of them.
((It's alright! This one just took a bit longer because I had to think up a mission)) ✮Prince Leo✮
